Valcucine's Riciclantica Outline kitchen furniture collection is characterized by its straight, simple profile that runs along the edges of the kitchen, becoming the defining feature of the design. This protected edge not only provides an aesthetically pleasing look but also strengthens the materials used and increases their resistance. The grip recesses cut across the surfaces of the base units, contributing to the slimness of the doors, which are only 2mm thick. The doors, top, and side panel finishes can be matched to create a unit finished in a single material for a clean visual result.
The shelving system is designed to define and articulate spaces without closing them off, maintaining an open-space layout even when used to separate environments. It can be installed freely or back-to-wall, suspended from the ceiling with the possibility of integrating the hood, or simply as an open wall unit.
The planning philosophy behind the collection combines functional volumes with the modular lightness of the Riciclantica collection and with Valcucine Special Elements. These versatile solutions can be configured to satisfy various needs, putting together functions, forms, and materials. The metal edging that runs along the rims of its surfaces, defining the various modules, sets off the geometric shapes of the project, here shown in black anodized aluminum.
Valcucine's Riciclantica Outline won the 2022 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design, beating over 1,100 entries from 55 countries for its innovative and cutting-edge design.
