Holcim is a manufacturer of innovative and sustainable building solutions operating in markets around the globe. Ductal® from Holcim is a product range of lightweight, ultra-high-performance concrete. Ductal offers durability, strength, aesthetics, and ductility for different types of projects, from demanding structures such as bridges and roads to more creative architectural and cost-effective projects such as public and private buildings, and through facade rain-screen cladding solutions.
Ductal from Holcim is an ideal solution for bold architectural expression and repair projects due to its self-compacting nature and its quality that replicates intricate textures, patterns, and finishes. Its combination of high performance and versatile aesthetics meets the building, design, and sustainability challenges of today and tomorrow.
Characteristics
Ductal from Holcim enables long-lasting and greener buildings by relying on innovative formulations and using less material than traditional construction solutions. Its fiber-reinforced formulation provides ductility and up to eleven times the compressive strength of traditional concrete.
Ductal is a material with low porosity, which delivers substantial impermeability and ten times the durability of other cementitious-based materials. Additionally, its low water-to-aggregate ratio and pack density lead to high durability even under the most extreme climatic and chemical conditions.
Features and Benefits
Ductal enables structures with up to half the usual amount of material for equivalent performance
Application techniques such as refined spraying allow for the use of the exact quantity of material needed
Blast+ and Fire+ technology adds additional protection against potential shock, impact, and explosion
