Tantimber ThermoWood siding products offer a variety of benefits including natural beauty, weather resistance, thermal insulation, sustainability, and high durability. Their siding products can be used for decorative purposes or as a primary or complementary siding option, from modern to contemporary, and historic to traditional designs.
ThermoWood siding products offer a high degree of thermal insulation and can be used in various interior and exterior applications including traditional plank siding, saunas, pools, shading structures, and more.
Pine Cladding
ThermoWood pine cladding range, sourced from Scandinavian forests has a relatively low density, making it easy for handling and installation. Tantimber ThermoWood pine siding products have a knotty structure, providing more durability than traditionally processed pine.
It can be installed in both horizontal and vertical orientations and is suited to a variety of applications such as sunshades and shutters.
Properties
The ThermoWood process refines and modifies wood transforming its structure into a stable and durable configuration, preventing expanding, contracting, twisting, and cupping. Tantimber products have a low moisture content, meaning they don't deform due to seasonal temperature changes, making them virtually impervious to insects, fungi, and bacteria that can cause decay.
Thermal Modification Process
ThermoWood minimizes the dehumidification and deformation behavior of timber by raising the internal temperature of the wood above 392º F in a controlled process. As a result, the deformation, warping, and splitting associated with other dehumidification processes are minimized. Because of the thermal modification process, Tantimber products are suitable for outdoor and wet-area applications. They are available in a wide range of sizes and cross-section profiles.
