More about this product

Tantimber ThermoWood decking products offer a variety of benefits. It is low maintenance, extremely durable, has long-lasting beauty, and is naturally sustainable. Making it an ideal material for building professionals looking for high-performance and distinctive designs.

ThermoWood decking products are available in four wood species, including ash, pine, oak, and iroko, sourced from sustainable forests. Suitable for decking — backyard, rooftop, pool, and more — and various outdoor applications, including terraces, gardens, walkways, landscaping, and more.

All of Tantimber's decking products are available in a wide range of thicknesses, widths, and profile options.

Iroko Decking

Tantimber ThermoWood iroko decking collection is manufactured from high-quality raw materials, with an attractive appearance due to its light color. Iroko decking delivers high performance in various applications, including in places with extreme weather conditions.

The ThermoWood process minimizes the bending and swelling associated with Iroko wood, outing the extreme color variations inherent to this type of wood. Iroko decking meets European Technical Standards Class 1 requirements for durability, with a service life of a minimum of 25 years.

Properties

The ThermoWood process refines and modifies wood transforming its structure into a stable and durable configuration, preventing expanding, contracting, twisting, and cupping. Tantimber products have a low moisture content, meaning they don't deform due to seasonal temperature changes, making them virtually impervious to insects, fungi, and bacteria that can cause decay.

Thermal Modification Process

ThermoWood minimizes the dehumidification and deformation behavior of timber by raising the internal temperature of the wood above 392º F in a controlled process. As a result, the deformation, warping, and splitting associated with other dehumidification processes are minimized. Because of the thermal modification process, Tantimber products are suitable for outdoor and wet-area applications. They are available in a wide range of sizes and cross-section profiles.
