Studco Systems and engineering services were used to help achieve Melbourne's highest skyrise. Australia 108 is a residential skyscraper designed with 100 levels and a gold star facade feature beginning at the 72nd level.

Studco's Systems Used

  • Public Spaces - including the stone entrance, dining halls, and the luxurious poolside area used framing solutions from Studco. These included using top hat sections with matching brackets from Studco to carry heavy wall linings of stone and marble.

  • The apartments - use two systems from Studco; their unique Vortex high-performance framing system and their concealed ceiling system.

  • Around the central core of the building - Studco's furring channel was fitted directly onto the concrete walls using their adjustable Betafix mounting clip.

Studco Services Used

Studco's in-house engineers were involved in both the design and build phases of the project. Their services included:

  • Establishing a comprehensive specification document that covered the walls and ceilings.
