Movement Society is a private training facility in Los Angeles’ Art District within a creative work hub. The current gym sits in a space remodeled from a 1939 structure. Its converted warehouse vernacular is very much in keeping with the local style. The restrooms feature taps and sinks from The Splash Lab Ribbon and Monolith collections as well as a full complement of bathroom accessories.
The Brief
The original windows, skylights, and vaulted timber ceilings were preserved to ground the workout area with a sense of place. The entryway and locker room needed to have a minimalist feel so they didn't compete with the existing architecture, as well as be easy to sanitize. Since the restroom area also serves as a locker room and shower, Architects Some Studio specified a full complement of accessories to create a cohesive look in the small multi-use space.

The Solution
The Splash Lab’s products were chosen for quality and design, as well as the quick lead time since the sinks were manufactured in Los Angeles. Some Studio’s design team visited TSL's showroom where they were able to facilitate finish selections that would coordinate with the look of the space. Some of the larger pieces were custom powder coated since they were not eligible for PVD finishing. The Splash Lab was commended for customer service by Co-founder Joshua Marroquin for going above and beyond and being fully available throughout the process.
