The Tom Dixon Table Light collection is a contemporary one, suited for a variety of applications and interiors from the office to the home. The collection has lights from Tom Dixon's Beat, Bell, Melt, and Stone families.
Beat The uniquely crafted Beat collection is inspired by a re-purposed water vessel. The forms are made by artisan craftsmen from India, in an effort to develop and maintain the skills of street metalworkers. Using the existing techniques for traditional brass work used to create cooking pots and water vessels, existing objects were hand-raised, welded, beaten, and skimmed into functional forms that reflect the golden light. | Bell An exploration of mirrored surfaces, through the exercise of reductionism. The lighting fixtures are formed from pressed steel, then plated in a finish including copper, chrome, brass, iridescent PVD blue, and glossy black. The hyper-polished surfaces allow pieces from the collection to take on the aesthetic characteristics of their surroundings and emit a soft, even light. |
Melt A collection that focuses on an organic and imperfect form to create a more natural style of light. The form evokes the concepts of molten glass, the interior of a melting glacier, or images of deep space. The lighting fixtures are created through a process called blow molding and vacuum metalization to create highly reflective organic shapes. Melt is available as a pendant, chandelier, surface, floor, and table light. | Stone Inspired by the materiality of the Taj Mahal, the stone collection includes lighting and other accessories that create sculptural pieces. Each product comprises solid white Morwad marble and shiny brass elements. |
