Tom Dixon have created a diverse range of modern stools from a variety of furniture families, including Fan, Fat, Slab, and Wingback.
Fan The Fan stool goes with the modern interpretation of the classical Windsor chair, consisting of a semi-transparent structure offering both chairs and tables. The structure is made from solid wood and black leather, using traditional joinery methods. | Fat A collection of upholstery chairs and stools designed to hug the body, made from molded foam, the seats are designed for comfort with multiple sitting positions. Fat designs include dining chairs, sofas, a counter, and bar stools. The legs are made from metal with a high gloss black lacquer finish. |
Slab A collection that includes chairs and tables as well as the stool, Slab highlights the natural beauty of the oak. The pieces are made from solid oak and designed with angular forms and curved edges and finished with an exposed grain in natural, black lacquer or fumed coating. | Wingback Inspired by traditional 17th-century archetypes, Wingback is designed with sculptural expressive curves. The chair also offers acoustic properties by absorbing sound. The silhouette is created with a hard sculptural foam shell that conceals a steel frame with a modeled plywood base. The seat is finished off with cut foam and a pocket-sprung seat cushion for comfort. |
