A newly renovated flat in the Sant Antoni district of Barcelona is filled with light, colour and vitality. The Vivienda Parlament 19, renovated by Miel Arquitectos and Studio P10! uses a creative interplay with mirrors and mosaic tiles extensively throughout the interior to achieve a greater feeling of space and light.
The main intention in the design was to bring in and maximise natural light. Besides the creative placement of mirrors throughout the flat, the pallete uses white and yellow colours with natural wood to create a natural minimalistic finish. |
Hisbalit's glass mosaic tiles were used for the kitchen and bathroom floors and walls. The high quality, eco-friendly tiles were personalised in a combination of yellow tones and an open mix gradation, using reference Unicolor 103 (white) and 302 (yellow) in a hexagonal format. The vibrant luminous colour combinations brighten up the space.
As this is a non-porous material, with 0% absorption, mosaic tiles are ideal for use in bathrooms and kitchens. Easy to install and requiring virtually no maintenance, Hisbalit mosaic tiles are exceptionally hygienic and anti-allergenic, repelling humidity to prevent the appearance of mould and bacteria.
