Retractable Canopy at San Mateo, California | ShadeFX

Project Features

The project was built on a large deck at the back of a house in San Mateo, California. To ensure a seamless transition from indoor to out, an attached two-post structure and manual canopy measuring 18’x16’, were customized to cover the entire deck.

The structure was powder coated a dark Umbra Grey and a neutral Ferrari Sandy beige was chosen for the canopy fabric. Additional wings were specified to clear the sliding door and lights while the canopy is retracted. The addition of the retractable shade structure allows a smooth flow from the kitchen to the outdoor dining table.
