Display Cases in National Museum of Military Vehicles | Zone Display Cases

The National Museum of Military Vehicles, founded by Dan Starks, a private collector, holds the biggest collection of the military rolling stock in the U.S. outside of the armed forces themselves the collection is housed in high-security exhibition cases by Zone Display Cases.

Project Brief

For this project, the museum required multiple high-security, high-quality exhibit cases for their Unknown Soldiers Weapons Vault, a smaller museum within the museum featuring an important collection of firearms.

Completed in collaboration with Cinnabar Inc. from Los Angeles, the Unknown Soldiers Weapons Vault project included a total of 65 display case modules, connected to create large perimeter wall cases.

These cases were intended to display a nationally significant collection of military firearms and a Centennial collection of Winchester firearms, from the first sniper rifle used in combat to the fully authenticated "Bunker Hill Musket" - one of the most significant and rare historic weapons in American history.

Installation

The Zone team and all its partners worked hard to put in place strategies to minimise unpredictable delays caused by the pandemic. Fortunately, their technicians were able to travel into the United States without difficulty to complete the installation of the display cases at the museum and meet the initial project schedule.
