New residential project, Slow Beam, situated in Hobart Australia offers guests a unique design experience that combines the aesthetics of the native bushland with urban living. Designed by Sarah Trotter of Hearth Studio, the inspiration for the dark and moody interior design was created as a home away from home.
The unique experience, is designed with striking dark interiors, which highlight the views offered by the hillside houe. This is especially realized in the all-black kitchen design. Using appliances from Fisher & Paykel, the simple, minimalistic kitchen with a sleek appearance was achieved. The owner enjoyed the side of the project that was all about combining aesthetics with functionality and was happy that the kitchen appliances became a part of that.
The architect from Hearth Studio wanted the project to be as minimal as possible and noted that she wanted the kitchen to read more as furniture than as a day-to-day kitchen, the under-counter fridge was what made that concept come to life. The fridge and freezer are integrated seamlessly under the benchtop. Fisher and Paykel were integral to the design intent since it was very important that it featured black fixtures to deliver a seamless look to the kitchen.
The Fisher & Paykel appliances included:
- 600mm Built-in Oven
- 600mm Induction Cooktop
- 900mm CoolDrawer™ Multi-temp Drawer x2
- 600mm Integrated Single DishDrawer™ Dishwasher
- 7kg/4kg Washer Dryer Combo
