In partnership with Audo Copenhagen and designed by TORAFU ARCHITECTS, the AA STOOL is simple yet versatile. Produced in Denmark from locally grown Danish Douglas fir, the handcrafted AA STOOL pushes the boundaries of do-it-yourself interior furniture. Each pack of two stools is available in two sizes – medium or tall – and can be used individually or in combination to create a wider seat

Design Concept

AA STOOL is inspired by the Ishinomaki Laboratory, which started in Japan in 2011 in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake, helping the local community to rebuild itself through simple, DIY furniture workshops using available materials and skills. This spirit lives on in the AA STOOL, which focuses on incorporating DIY skills into interior furniture design. Named after the shape of its profile and offering great flexibility, the flat-pack AA STOOL has an untreated finish to increase customizability. Exposed screws, dimensional lumber, and a handcrafted look emphasize AA STOOL's combination of innovation and simplicity.
