Sto customizable wall plasters start with a variety of textures, including Fine, Rough, Liner, and Graphic finishes. Each kind of texture is made through an individual process and has different sizes to yield unique results. Thus, users can customize their wall plaster with a range of textures, from a fine, smooth finish to more coarse granulated surfaces. Sto wall plaster textures can also be combined to create surfaces with a variety of effects.

The second level of customization for Sto wall plasters is within the Effects category. Here, the textures can be combined with different color coatings, additive granulates, and graphic stenciling. The effects can produce a range of graphics and patterns for facades.
