Modular Skylights in Seestadt Aspern Office Building | VELUX Commercial

In 2016, a new office building in Vienna was constructed by architecture group Lutter Heinz DI Arch. Büro. One of the primary design goals was to imbue the interiors with generous natural light to create uniquely office spaces. Thus, the project uses VELUX Modular Skylights to bring in ample daylight and complement the design aesthetic.

Design Concept

Architects Lutter Heinz DI Arch. Büro were guided by the possibility of using natural lighting as a method to generate office spaces that are highly comfortable and conducive to a healthy work environment. To achieve this, 18 of the VELUX Ridgelight modular skylight panels were installed throughout the ceiling at a 5° angle. As a result, the interior is flooded with daylight and has the added benefit of providing natural ventilation.
