Custom Canopies at 1064 Mission | BŌK Modern

BŌK Modern designs and develops innovative architectural metal panel systems. BŌK Modern Custom Sunshades were used in Herman Coliver Locus' 1064 Mision residential project.

1064 Mision comprises 256 studio apartments for adults and seniors and was finished in February 2023. The complex sits on over than an acre of land and is a joint venture between the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Mercy Housing, and Episcopal Community Services. BŌK Modern colorful butterfly shades in five different bright RAL colors and featuring three different patterns add form and function to this six-story permanent housing project in SoMa.The shades were designed to be modular, repeatable, and easy to install. To control water flow when it rains, perforations were strategically designed in the center gutter bracket.

Sunshades: BŌK Modern offers a diverse range of customizable Sunshades, available in distinct designs tailored to various architectural requirements.

'Nail-On' Sunfin: This design directly affixes the sunshade to the structure, reducing complexity. Options include a streamlined knife edge or a smaller flange, fitting windows up to 24 inches deep, offering both versatility and functionality.

Gates: The gates are lightweight, sturdy, and visually appealing. They are ready to accept custom hardware or options from our selection. Available in various laser-cut patterns or solid metal, these utility gates are ideal for alcoves, providing visual openness and ventilation, and can be up to 10 feet tall. They can be swinging, sliding, or bifold for unobstructed access. Matching panels are also available for large vehicular rolling gates to integrate seamlessly with fence systems.
