Guardrails at Sango Court | BŌK Modern

BŌK Modern is a company that designs and develops innovative architectural metal panel systems. David Baker Architect's new residential project in California is equipped with BOK Modern's perforated metal Stair Guardrails, Fences, and Sunshades.

Sango Courts housing development was designed with affordability at the forefront, designing 102 rental units to meet the diverse needs of the community. To David Baker Architects it was important to provide comfort, taking into account the sunny weather they chose to install BŌK Modern's perforated Metal Sunshades to protect from the sun and reduce glare. Matching perforated metal Fences and Guardrails create a cohesive and breathable façade while embracing the natural weathering of corten steel.

Product System Used

Stair Guardrails: BŌK Modern offers versatile Stair Guardrails featuring signature laser-cut panels suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. These guardrails can be affixed to the top or exterior of stringers, with panel joints perpendicular to the stringer or treads. Integrated mounting brackets allow seamless installation of handrail supports between panels. Made of unitized structural panels, these guardrails eliminate the need for additional posts. They come in various finishes and materials, including cold and hot-rolled steel for indoor use, and corten steel for outdoor applications. Optional accessories like concealed lighting, wood caps, and floor closure plates are also available.

Fence Systems: BŌK Modern offers a diverse range of fencing options which include Post-free Fence, Blade & Post Fence, Long Span Fence, Low Fence, and Mechanical Screens.

Sunshades: BŌK Modern Sunshades are available in four distinct designs: Bracketed Sunshades, Full Height Bracketed Sunshades, Bracketless Sunshades, and Trellis Structures. BŌK’s panels can be created from various flat sheet metals that are strategically designed and laser-cut in a customizable selection of patterns and shapes. The panels can be custom-formed to an infinite variety of 3-dimensional configurations.
