Bruag CELLON® panels can be used for French balcony designs with an unlimited selection of custom or standard perforation patterns and colors. CELLON® is a solid core board, that is weather-resistant and stable.
Balustrade Structure
CELLON® panels must be considered infill when used as balustrades, so they must have a structural sub-frame. Sub-frames are usually made in wood or metal/aluminum. The sub-frame must be attached to the brickwork in accordance with the specifications of the building and adapted to the load capacity of the CELLON® panels.
Impact Resistance
Bruag tests impact resistance in accordance with the ETB guideline (ETB Richtlinie). The panel thickness depends on the perforation, the support of the panels, the type of object and the applicable building regulations.
Prevention of Climbing
Depending on the region and country, different guidelines apply to climbing prevention over balustrades. When designing the height of a French balcony, it is important to check the regulations in force in the region where the building is located.
