Timber - GLT Accoya | HESS TIMBER

Acetylation technology facilitates the application of glued laminated timber even in outdoor areas exposed to natural weathering where the timber is under high stress. For GLT Accoya, HESS TIMBER uses raw timber derived from the pine species Pinus Radiata. By the acetylation process, its dimensional stability is considerably increased by reducing the swelling and shrinkage behavior of the timber.

Using handling similar to that of untreated timber, HESS TIMBER makes use of the properties of Accoya®. It is non-toxic and can be easily recycled or reused. GLT Accoya opens up new avenues for architects, designers and project developers in the use of glued laminated timber.
