Hybrid timber uses synergies aka. combinations of different things for mutual benefit. HESS TIMBER seized the benefits of hybridization with the production of the glued laminated timber GLT Hybrid, a product representing the perfect synergy of two wood types that have been combined to create a premium and efficient product.

Generally, a core cross-section would consist of a standardized and profitable type of wood such as spruce. In GLT Hybrid, however, HESS TIMBER builds the outer beam layer using a higher-value wood type such as oak, chestnut or Western Red Cedar.
