Designed by the architects Weston Williamson + Partners, the renovation of All Souls Chapel in Rookwood, NSW meets the needs people from diverse cultural backgrounds at Roockwood Cemetary in Sydney, Australia.
The design is united through two ceiling treatments. Timber battens - Sculptform's timber Click-on Battens - in White Oak wrap the ceiling of the chapel's interior to create a beautiful, calm, warm and welcoming environment. Externally, powdercoated aluminium battens - Sculptform's aluminium Click-on Battens - line the soffit of the entry canopy.
The concealed fixings of the ceiling and soffit treatment create a clean and unfussy appearance. The acoustic backing of the chapel ceiling enhances the functionality of the chapel space while the powdercoated finish to the external soffit ensure a high quality and durable finish.
