Schöck's load-bearing thermal insulation elements minimize thermal bridges at the highest level, preventing structural damage without limiting design scope.

Efficient Thermal Breaks

Balconies with structural thermal breaks installed provide warmth and thermal efficiency. As part of the thermal insulation, Schöck Isokorb® provides a thermal break between elements such as balconies, parapets or canopy roofs while transferring load and maintaining full structural integrity.

Types

There is a huge choice of types which gives greater design freedom. Regardless of if the connection is concrete to concrete, concrete to steel, or steel to steel, the versatile range offers the right solution to protect against thermal bridges in new buildings and balcony renovation projects.

Isokorb® T type K
The load-bearing thermal insulation element with 80mm insulation thickness for concrete-concrete structures.
Isokorb® XT type K
The load-bearing thermal insulation element with 120mm insulating thickness for concrete-concrete structures.
Isokorb® CXT type K
The load-bearing thermal insulation element with 120mm insulating thickness and glass fiber composite for concrete-concrete structures.

You can use Schöck’s BIM libraries to easily and quickly integrate the detailed Schöck application into your overall building plans. These libraries are available for the standard Schöck Isokorb® product portfolio (reinforced concrete-reinforced concrete, reinforced concrete-steel and steel-steel) for Allplan, ArchiCAD and Revit.
