Draper's Exterior FlexShade® is available in three mechanisms; motorized, clutch-operated and crank-operated.
Window treatments that facilitate solar control are an integral solution for sustainable architecture. The daylighting strategy of a green building is made easy with custom shading which can both provide glare control shading and let in natural light.
1. The Exterior Motorized FlexShade® is operated using a simple wall switch or remote to lower and raise the window shades. It is ideally applied in commercial and institutional settings and can be quickly and quietly raised or lowered to the desired position to block unwanted sunlight.

- Available with a square or curved headbox.
- Square headbox size is 3-5/8" wide x 3-5/8" high (92 mm x 92 mm).

- Weighted hem bar to stabilize shade during operation.

2. The Exterior Clutch-Operated FlexShade® provides outdoor solar control in a variety of areas. It creates useful outdoor space in restaurants, commercial settings or swimming pools and patio areas by providing relief from harsh sunlight. As an exterior shade, it prevents most of the solar heat from entering the building thus allowing for a more comfortable indoor workspace environment.
Features:
- Bead chain clutch operator mounted right or left-hand operation.
- Clutch available in white (standard) or black.
- Universal mounting brackets and spring-loaded idler end provide ease of installation.
- Weighted hem bar to stabilize shade during operation.
3. The Exterior Crank-Operated FlexShade® provides added security by limiting unauthorized persons from operating them. The crank offers precision control for quick and easy adjustments to raise or lower the window shades to the desired height. This exterior shade provides maximum solar heat reduction and creates a comfortable indoor workspace for restaurants and commercial settings.

- Detachable crank handle (white) available in 48" (122 cm), 60" (152 cm) (standard) and 72” (183 cm) lengths.
- Weighted hem bar stabilizes shade during operation.
- Side channels or cable guides available for secure operation in wind (secures hem bar only, not the fabric)
4. The Exterior Motorized FlexShade® XL offers outdoor solar control for larger windows or openings. It combines convenience and ease of use with a simple wall switch or remote control. Perfect for residential and commercial settings. Available in sizes up to 192” (488 cm) w and 132” (335 cm) h, depending on fabric selection. Curved or angled headbox available. Hardware finish is a textured powder coat available in white, black, ivory, sand, or charcoal bronze. Custom powder coat colors are available.
