On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, it is our pleasure to share with you one of the recent and most ambitious initiatives of the Albanian government: "Edition I" of the International Competition "Art in Public Spaces" for the year 2022.
The International Competition "Art in Public Spaces" invites Albanian and foreign artists to share and compete through their projects for 18 different public locations within the territory of the Republic of Albania. This call aims the artistic and urban requalification of the chosen spaces in order to give value to local identity by supporting the independent artistic scene through the spirit of fine arts education. It is central to our mission to involve the younger generations by creating a synergy between the location, the community and artists.
We hope that this initiative will engage not only independent stage artists, but also architects, urban planners, constructive-electrical engineers, etc.

Work with BIG and Fondazione Prada in "Architecture for Exhibition"
Architecture has always played a key role in exhibitions. Museums, exhibitions, and expositions are not only cultural offerings, but are defined by space, by an exhibition itinerary that is able to surprise and fascinate the visitor who is drawn inside an active and inspiring experience.
For an exhibition, architecture is as fundamental as works of art, collections, and artifacts and their contents. The “Architecture for Exhibition” course has been created on these premises: its aim is to train professional designers who are able to materialize diverse artistic and museum experiences, enhancing the ever-changing story behind each cultural proposal. The students will acquire new skills in exhibition design and will move into a very prestigious environment – culture – which nowadays registers an increasing demand by the most critical and exclusive customers.
