‘Source Books in Architecture No. 16: Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO’ focuses on the work of a Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO and is meant to expose the foundations and implications of the work in question. The practice is documented through conversations, studies, models, renderings, working drawings, and photographs at a level of detail that allows for a nuanced understanding of the disciplinary agenda from conception to completion. This content is accompanied by contributions from critics and other designers that further explore the significance of the work.
Embrace an Odyssey is a commemorative publication which we have put together in celebration of the 20th anniversary of our architectural practice, IX Architects Pte Ltd. Over the past two decades, we have embarked on a remarkable journey, motivated by our passion for innovative design and commitment to delivering exceptional and personalised services. This book encapsulates our relentless pursuit of design ingenuity, highlighting our journeys, challenges, and triumphs along the way. Divided into two sections titled “Our Practice” and “Our Ventures”, this publication encompasses a testament of our transformative journeys throughout the years, both local and regional. “Our Practice” includes an overview of our design methodology, office culture, and accomplished architectural projects. “Our Venture” describes our voyages that transcend beyond the Singapore context, to include regional projects and philanthropic endeavours that aim to improve lives and leave a lasting imprint in the built world. Within this publication, our representative character, Ixie, will be guiding you throughout the 240-page journey. Ixie will depict our experiences, inspirations, and perspectives in life through vivid icons, aiming to inspire an adventurous heart.
The jubilee tenth edition of the Open House Prague festival takes place May 13–19, 2024. While an eventful accompanying programme is prepared for the week starting on May 13, the festival will also open 115 buildings and spaces around the capital city for free on the weekend of May 18 and 19. Several buildings in the programme also offer tours in English.
This year, SDD celebrates its 10th anniversary: 10 years of design experiences, networking, and creativity in the company of the best design brands and an ever-growing community of professionals and design lovers. To mark this milestone, we offer a rich program of activities throughout the year, an extended opportunity to discover the latest in design during the May Festival (16-23), and an open invitation to visit all our spaces on SoHo Design Day, Saturday, May 18.
During Milan Design Week 2024, Lasvit presented its mastery in glassmaking and creative approach to design and architecture, with their latest installation "Re/Creation." Held at the Palazzo Isimbardi, the expert in hand-made glassmaking had various unique creations on display, leading with "Porta" as the centerpiece, conceived by Lasvit’s Art Director Maxim Velcovsky. The monumental piece highlighted the company’s expertise in using the fused glass furnace and its journey in redefining the relationship between glass and architecture.
"Re/Creation" emerged as a central attraction for visitors, offering a space for relaxation. Drawing inspiration from the fluidity of molten glass, the very title signifies a technique inherent in fused glass craftsmanship, where the material is allowed to organically flow into a predetermined shape guided by gravity. Within this tranquil setting, creatives were encouraged to unwind, fostering an environment conducive to rejuvenation and creative exploration.

The Open House Lisboa returns on the weekend of May 11 and 12, 2024, with a programme of guided tours and urban walks curated by sociologist Sandra Marques Pereira and architect Alexandre Marques Pereira.

The exhibition delves deeper into the story of Villa Mairea’s famous swimming pool.
The Pool series of four exhibitions, to be opened at the Aalto2 Museum Centre on 18 May 2024, will bring together Alvar Aalto’s architectural heritage, international skateboarding culture, and rap and hip hop culture. The three exhibitions themed around skateboarding are linked by the design of the swimming pool at the Villa Mairea, by Alvar Aalto, and its impact on international skateboarding culture.
The Summerschool Rurapolis is an offsite programme of the ÉNSA Versailles in collaboration with the University of Oviedo and LABoral Art and Industrial Creation Centre, developed during the Laboral Impulsa residency programme. It is also an integral part of the NO-CITY open inter-university educational programme. The Summerschool Rurapolis will be structured around a series of lectures with well-known personalities at European level, and prospective explorations of the territory where the students will be sent on different paths in order to discover on their own way the multiple post-industrial, peri-rural and natural landscapes of Asturias.
RIBA's latest exhibition explores the narratives and attitudes embedded within the fabric of RIBA’s headquarters at 66 Portland Place, London, unpacking themes such as gender, race and imperialism through a series of new and exciting creative works.
The 39:39 edition of Camposaz will be in collaboration with Urbana Cooperativa Sociale, the promoter of the In-Mobility project which develops the themes of urban regeneration, sustainable mobility and social animation in 5 high schools in the Province of Vicenza. The objective of the workshop is to create 5 hubs based on a modular system which will be installed in the schools involved in the project. The hubs will have a social aggregation function, support for sustainable mobility (bike repair station) and teaching. The themes will be better defined by the outputs obtained during the workshops conducted with the students as part of the project's training course.

Located right at the border with Russia, Kharkiv stands as Ukraine’s second-largest city and has been significantly impacted by the ongoing conflict. This historically relevant and industrial city now faces the pressing challenge of rebuilding its damaged urban fabric, with a particular focus on residential buildings and public spaces, to not only repair but to also to improve the living conditions of its residents. This competition is part of the larger Kharkiv concept Masterplan project: a local and international initiative of the Kharkiv City Council, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) within the framework of the UN4UkrainianCities initiative, the Norman Foster Foundation, Arup, and the Kharkiv Architects Group, among others.
Collective Language - Asian Contemporary Architecture Exhibition, curated by Jenchieh Hung and Nada Inthaphunt
The first architectural exhibition at the IMPACT Arena Exhibition and Convention Center in 2024 will officially open on Tuesday, April 30th. "Collective Language - Asian Contemporary Architecture Exhibition" is the country's biggest and most important international architectural exhibition from The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage Exposition 2024 (ASA Architect Expo 2024), organized by The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, in collaboration with TTF International Company Limited. The principal curator is Jenchieh Hung, who is the exhibition chairman of The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, as well as an acclaimed architect from Hung And Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research. The executive curator is Nada Inthaphunt from The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage.
