CODE - Competitions for Designers and the Università degli Studi di Genova launched “Future Library,” a competition seeking a new design for a learning space at the University of Genoa. Designers will have the opportunity to interpret and shape the future of places dedicated to learning and knowledge. Call for Entries: International Design Competition for Qianhai Public Spaces

In accordance with the Specialized Planning for Walking and Cycling System of Qianhai Cooperation Zone, 19 cross-street parks, 9 skywalks and 15 sky footpaths are planned in Qianhai. The goal is to create a humanized “slow-traffic” environment (for pedestrians, pedaled bikes, etc.), enhance the vitality of the street, develop a sustainable green traffic system and slow-traffic space with Qianhai characteristics.

The California Government Operations Agency (GovOps) will award $500,000 in grants as part of the statewide California Mass Timber Building Competition.

Kaira Looro Student Competition: Peace Pavilion in Africa

"Kaira Looro Competition" is an international architecture competition aimed at raising awareness of the international community towards emerging architecture in developing countries. The new edition of the competition has as its theme is to create a pavilion for the promotion of universal peace which inspires contemplation, reflection, and prayer for those who unjustly lost their lives. The competition is organized by the Nonprofit Organization “Balouo Salo” engaged in Africa for humanitarian projects of architecture and support of disadvantaged communities, with the collaboration of the University of Tokyo, Kengo Kuma & Associates, Direction de la Culture de Sedhiou, Conseil Municipal de Sedhiou and others relevant parts.

Open Call: British Pavilion at the 2020 Venice Architecture Biennale

"The British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale aims to create debate that both challenges and influences the future of British architecture. Call for Entries: Disruptive Design - New Solutions to Affordable Housing

Disruptive Design is a three-part design competition that seeks to address the challenges associated with designing and building affordable, owner-occupied housing.

Architects, designers, students, and those invested in urban development are invited to submit their speculative ideas for an owner-occupied housing development incorporating a flexible architectural solution that encourages wealth-building through homeownership and entrepreneurship. The competition will conclude with an occupant/buyer-ready prototype of the winning design.

2019 Beam Camp Project Proposal
