Lecture with Jorge Pardo

Save

Join The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture for a lecture with renowned artist and MacArthur Fellow Jorge Pardo, whose work explores the intersection of contemporary painting, design, sculpture, and architecture. The lecture will be followed by an on-stage conversation with Program Director for Interior Design, Igor Siddiqui. Free and open to the public.

Part of a larger week-long engagement with interior design students, Pardo's lecture will highlight the artist's work, his approach to craft and his perspective on the relationship between art, design, and architecture. Known for his use of vibrant colors, eclectic patterns, and natural and industrial materials, Pardo embraces the fluidity between genres and his output ranges from paintings, sculptures, and murals to lamps and furniture, interiors, and even buildings.
