different comprehension of its beautiful spaces.

“Mater of the waterless” Brian Li Zhang – TeamMinus
A waterless toilet installation. If traditional Chinese Gardens were about aesthetics of landscape in its Chinese ideals, this installation should take in the current ethics of environment and embody the global consensus. Not only pretty, but useful. It is inspired by fake mountains of traditional Chinese garden where the action of releasing usually took place and it would encourage visitors to test this new experience of releasing.
“The reflection stone” Philip F. Yuan – Archi-Union Architects
How does Chinese traditional garden represent landscape? This installation attempts to apply the contemporary digital technology to participate in the dialogue between the two Taihu stones and reconstruct a flat but phenomenal image. Through the intervention of a fabricated object, the relationship of the entire field will be redefined, and it provides a new opportunity for the visitor to experience the Net Garden.
“Cave of cloud” ZhangTong – Terra DesignLab
Garden is the spiritual home and artistic integration of Chinese literati. The side yard of Garden of the Master of Nets is named as Cave of Cloud, with a cavernous stone in front of its door. Stone is the root of the cloud, symbolizing an imperturbable mental state. Cloud, whereas, is the vast accumulation of data and information. At the end of courtyard, another Cave of Cloud is built, creating an anchoring place to gather the root of cloud and seclude the mind.
