Starting preparation from June 2017, Ban Xue Gang High-Tech Zone Core Area Urban Quality Improvement International Design Competition has generated 8 superior plans of 4 competition programs initially on May 2018.

This competition is an important measure to improve the quality of Ban Xue Gang High-Tech city in the future, not only requiring the efforts of the government and professionals, but also the support and participation of the society and the public. The organizer has widely collected opinions and suggestions of the public and relevant government departments on the 8 shortlisted plans by the online questionnaire and convening consultation meetings. And the calibration meeting was held on October 31, 2018, and officially confirmed the first and second winners of each competition program. The results of the competition and related matters are announced as follows:

Ⅰ.Basic Information of Contest Consultation

In late March 2018, the program evaluation committee was established, and expertconsultation meetings for the results of the 4 competition programs were held. The evaluation committee selected top two superior plans for each program with principles of anonymous work voted by real-name experts.

From April to September 2018, the symposiums were held. The results of the competition were highly evaluated by the leaders of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government , and the leaders of the Longgang District Committee and District Government. The specific solicitation opinions meeting was organized to the large enterprises, residents, students and “Two-representatives and one-committee member”in Longgang District. From May 3 to June 5, to carry out public consultation, a total of 1914 web-based and paper questionnaires were collected through the online questionnaire star, the science and technology Bantian WeChat public account, and the distribution of paper questionnaires, including 411 from questionnaire stars, 861 from Techno WeChat public number, and 642 from paper questionnaires.

On October 31, the Longgang District People's Government Office Conference consolidated the final rankings of the four competition programs by combining expert opinions, public opinions, and opinions of various government departments.

1^st Winner Institute：Shenzhen Meidao Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning & Beijing ShiYu Four-Dimension Wayfinding System Planning & Designing Co.,Ltd. (Consortium)；Award: ￥800000.

2^nd Winner Institute：China Overseas Huayi Urban Planning&Design Co,. LTD.(Beijing) & Shenzhen Landscape Co., Ltd.；Award: ￥300000.

（4）Ban Xue Gang High-Tech Zone Urban VI and Application design International Competition

1^st Winner Institute：Thonik DESIGN；Award: ￥800000.

2^nd Winner Institute：Shenzhen Starbrand Creative Design Co., Ltd.；Award: ￥300000.

Ⅲ、Other Matters

In order to realize the smooth progress of the competition, the first winners of the four competitions above will continue to optimize and improve the plan based on the opinions of the expert evaluation meeting and the opinions of the organizer.

The second winner of the project “Ban Xue Gang Art Center and Surrounding Block Architecture Conceptual Design Plan International Competition” must send the designer in chief to participate in the workshop organized by the first winner (at least twice), to coordinate with the integration and deepening of the competition results and the conceptual design.

The second winner of the project“Bantian in the Forest” Surrounding Characteristic (Suburban) Park Holistic Conceptual Design Plan International Competition” must send the designer in chief to participate in the workshop organized by the first winner (at least twice), to coordinate with the integration and deepening of the competition results and the conceptual design.

The second winner of the project “Ban Xue Gang High-Tech Zone Streets and Nodes Greenery and Landscape Improve Design International Competition” must send the designer in chief to participate in the workshop organized by the first winner (at least twice), to coordinate with the integration and deepening of the competition results and the conceptual design.
