The European University of Valencia offers a postgraduate education linked to Architecture and Design through three educational programmes.
These different MArch programmes are directed by Fran Silvestre and feature influential architects and studios from current architecture such as Alvaro Siza, Souto de Moura, Aires Mateus, OAB • Carlos Ferrater, Correia/Ragazzi and Juan Domingo Santos.
The MArch originates as a cultural meeting point for professional architects and designers, students, and companies with the same set of values: with the aim to bring together and share all the different experiences that arise during creative processes—a nexus between the academic, professional and enterprise worlds, which is vital nowadays.
The process of learning develops by following practical activities that allow students to systematize and apply technical knowledge to the development of different phases of professional activity.
The master's provides the student with an exclusive architectural training enriched with intense practical activity, carried out in the facilities of Valencia during the course, and through a workshop in Porto in July and another reference workshop during August. This is complemented by different international trips, some in Europe and others intercontinental, with the aim of getting to know the projects of the most influential architects of the world.
THE PLACE
MArch programmes are placed on one hand in the urban campus of the European University of Valencia, located in the city center. On the other hand, Espai Alfaro is a place of artistic tradition where art, design, and architecture come together. It was born as the workshop and studio of Valencian sculptor Andreu Alfaro and was designed by architect Emilio Giménez.
In 1995, the space was enlarged by the same architect, building the space for the studio and the Alfaro Hoffman Collection. Nowadays, this space is conceived as a place of interaction and relationship between different cultural standing points through exhibitions, events, teaching programmes and professional practice.
The result is a space of 7,000 square meters composed by the Workshops, the Square, the Library, the MArch Classroom, the Alfaro Hofmann Studio, the Fran Silvestre Architects Studio, the Alfaro Hofmann Collection, and the Space for Temporary Exhibitions.

The programmes are aimed at architects, building engineers, interior designers, graduates, or those licensed in other creative disciplines and students in their last year of Architecture.
