Knowledge is power, knowledge is freedom. But my simple definition of knowledge is total sum of all things you know as a person, and all things known universally. Your experiences, skills you have acquired, and information that has been captured in any accessible format that can be utilized in various ways, is knowledge. And library is a temple for those who seek knowledge.
destho 2018 aims to generate new ideas for LRC design that employs the use of green and new technologies and construction methods, and creates interesting and innovative spaces that provides an interactive and intuitive environment conducive to learning.
Participants are to design one such Learning Resource Centre on the proposed site, along with a cafeteria with sufficient services and sitting areas for the users. The proposed design should have interesting spaces and should encourage interaction and a comfortable environment for studying. The target audience for the LRC are the residents of the city. The design solution while being sustainable should be versatile in catering to diverse users, unfettered by demographics, generation, professional affinity amongst others.
