The University of Warsaw (PL) has launched an architectural competition for a new Psychology Department Building which will be built in the hearth of the Ochota Campus in Warsaw – a science campus located in a dense city fabric close to the strict city centre.
The new 14.000 sqm Psychology Department Building is a part of a large investment program through which the University of Warsaw aims to rethink its campuses. The overall ambition is to adapt to actual dynamic changes in learning and teaching and to anticipate expected demographic changes in academic population. Therefore, the University seeks flexible solutions, both in time and program. Rather than a formal icon, the new building is expected to be an inventive tool. The architecture of the new building should answer this need through innovative approach both in functions and technical solutions. Furthermore, the high sustainability of the building should guarantee low costs of exploitation in the future.
University of Warsaw invites all architects interested in participation in this competition to submit tender applications until 1st September 2017 at 11:00 AM (Warsaw time). The competition will be held in polish, but all the tender documents are also available in English.
