Join the CTBUH New York City Chapter for a discussionon on Facades Design and Contsruction in New York. With an increased reliance on technology and specialization, and the need for speed and innovation, the Facade Talks Series aims at a new type of open and focused conversation to bring together different sides of the spectrum of the facade industry. The Talks are focused on building enclosure systems and the challenges in designing and building facades, where Industry leaders in architecture, facade design, engineering and construction will present and discuss new ideas, innovative technologies, and challenges in both design and construction based on a specific theme.

6:40 - 7:00pm | Robert Otani, Principal at Thornton Tomasetti will discuss the VIA West 57 project by BIG and related Research Development in Facades completed within Thornton Tomasetti's CORE Stutio.
7:00 - 7:20pm | Mic Patterson, Vice President of Strategic Development and Advanced Technology Studio at Enclos will discuss Innovations in Fabrication and Installation Methodologies with references to VIA West 57 by BIG and 432 Park Avenue by Rafael Vinoly Architects.
7:20 - 7:40pm | Eric Verboon, Associate at Buro Happold Facade Engineering will discuss the 111 West 57th Street Tower by SHoP Architects.
7:40 - 8:00pm | Bertram Beissel of Atelier Jean Nouvel will discuss projects specific to NYC and challenges from a designer's standpoint.
