Iconic Brazilian architect and urbanist João Filgueiras Lima, also known as Lelé, passed away today in the city of Salvador.
Lelé was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1932 and later settled in Salvador. His projects transformed the look of industrial large-scale works and were always concerned with the issue of the human scale.
The architect leaves us a great legacy of works throughout Brazil.
The architect's work will be featured in Brazil's pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale.
