After 6 months of working with the client, we were able to develop the architectural project. Communication and active participation of our clients played a key role and allowed us to carry out the refurbishment. This property is located at one of the best neighborhoods in the city of Martinez de la Torre in the state of Veracruz, Mexico.
The house has a strong contemporary image, straight lines and pure volumes, inviting nature to be an important part of the interior of the house. The concepts of garden and privacy gave us guidelines to forge the idea of the project.
A simple volumetry was proposed, with a total openness towards the garden by the lateral façade. Furthermore, many of the previously constructed elements were retaken by separating the architectural program in 1) Ground Floor (GF) and 2) Floor Plan Level 1 (L1). The relationship between these levels is done through a spiral staircase.
GF has a common area completely connected to the kitchen, living – dining room, and to the 3 bedrooms. The master room has dressing room and bathroom, ventilated and connected directly to the garden. The other two bedrooms are connected to each other through an indoor patio.
On the second floor are found the work areas, the utility room and a photography studio with roof garden. The simplicity of the lateral façade is to ensure a direct connection of the interior of the house with the garden and the pool. With very few materials, but carefully selected and used, we generated several textures and comfortable and interesting spaces.
