Previously limited to particular locations, Naver App was delivered all around the nation using a ‘kit-box’ concept. With the addition of a ‘kinetic’ element to the existing over-sized delivery box concept, the new Naver App Square, designed and constructed by URBANTAINER has evolved into a giant moving gift box. Naver App Square Kit-box traveled over 30 locations over a 90 day period in its gift box form.The oversized handle serves as a trigger element that expands and opens the gift box and reveals a space to experience Naver App Square. The box is shut closed while moving, resembling a gift box being delivered. Additionally, transporting of the gift box does not involve violation of any related laws or regulations.
During installation, Naver App Square’s needed a design that could incorporate Naver App Square’s functions were achieved by designing an expandable open-box space.Interior design elements were designed using a plastic toy model concept.Space was designed to provide all users to experience Naver’s useful apps with each one’s style. Experience elements are categorized as place, search and fun. Icons of each category are showcased to amplify the plastic model concept.
