The project is a low-budget housing located on the outskirts of the resort of Santo Domingo, in a family plot.
The project is to reuse and extend a small cabin in a permanent home for a young couple who live and work outside the capital.
The existing volume is spread throughout the land by way of generating and separating two instances: The first instance is bounded forward in a private gravel patio and the second instance is backwards, in a large garden of grass.
Upon costumer request, the windows of the building were taken as a repeating pattern for the main front, thus retaining part of the original image of the structure.
The other front has a more airtight treatment, consisting of niches-closets and glazed screens that accompany the corridor.
All roof level rises and expands in volume, illuminating the interior with light around the perimeter.
