US Census Bureau Headquarters / SOM Situated on 80 wooded acres of the Suitland Federal Center near downtown Washington, D.C., the new 2.5-million-square-foot headquarters for the U.S. Census Bureau houses all the Bureau’s 6,000 employees. The Michael Hill Clubhouse / Patterson Associates The brief articulated the client’s desire for a place that reinforced the game of golf, operating primarily as a “private box”, but with the capacity to transform into a gateway headquarters for large competitive events. New Zealanders’ identity is defined by landscape, and our cultural heritage is depicted in Maori mythology as a people borne of the land and the sky. Wender Police Station / Studiobase Architects Police Station is never recognized as a legitimate building type, yet it has been built everywhere. Our task of W Police Station is to create a distinct form for this everyday institution, also to respond to its functional interior and perplexed urban environment. The site for W Police Station lies in the heart of Taipei’s new Technology Park. De Cecco Businness Center/ Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas The New Business Centre for Pescara is the result of integration of two simple elements: a low height building with a punctured plane and the “annular” building sitting on top. The dynamic three-dimensional structure of the rounded building punches the straightforward structure of the “holed” lower volume, linking the two bodies in a whole element (read more…)
Blaas General Partnership / monovolume The company Blaas in Bolzano is specialized in electro-mechanics. In the new head office the company presents its new product range and offers repair service. On the ground floor of the building there is the sales division, on the first floor the exposition area and the repair shop. All administration offices are located on the second floor.
