Christian Pottgiesser architecturespossibles recently shared with us their entry for the Russian Orthodox Center in Paris. Read about their proposal and view their renderings and video after the break.
Their proposal reads, “The plot in its urban context, particularly with its direct neighbor of the Palais de l’Alma at the foot of the Eiffel Tower called, in our view, a discrete low building, which does not compete but rather as a landscape that integrates. We proposed to consider that it is possible to imagine it in its integrality as a large garden offering a new perspective on the city, marking the threshold of the city to a sacred place and embedding its ecclesial space in its center.”
