OIII architecten were awarded the commission for the construction of a cluster of programs dedicated to education in digital media and digital creation by the Nord De France Chamber of Commerce. The location of the 18,800 square meter project is on a newly developed site on the banks of the River Scheldt, just outside of Valenciennes.

The schools that are now being construction are led by Supinfocom group, which was established in the 1980s by the Chamber of Commerce. The schools offer training courses in the field of design, virtual reality, animation film and video game design. The cluster of these various related fields is intended to bring together the companies and educational institutions that are involved in the domain of digital creation. This is the first major complex to be realized on the newly develop site.
There are three different schools and businesses that are located under the same roof of the complex. Each has a dedicated space within the building, thereby creating connection while maintaining the discrete identities of the fields. A large open central area connects the different wings. It is a space devoted a 450-seat auditorium and top quality technical and research laboratories.
The space also also for students and young entrepreneurs to meet, interact, and exchange ideas, knowledge and expertise. A climate and building management system ensures that a pleasant and energy-efficient climate can be maintained inside the cluster. The green courtyards and the atria play an important role in this respect. The building is designed to be open to its surrounding, providing a connection to the world of nature with the man-made world and the world of virtual reality.
