In order to create a "local era that is good to live anywhere in Korea," the Folk Museum of Korea will be relocated to Sejong City National Museum Complex and will play a leading role in the balanced national development policy as a representative national museum of local culture in the south of the central region.
It aims to evolve into a museum where folk ceremonies can be linked to modern daily life and future technologies, and to have space and facility size that fit the trend of the times as a major facility in the National Museum Complex, and to become a venue for exchanges with global folk museums as well as a balanced regional distribution of cultural assets.
