The Amal Bed is a design by Carlo Colombo, introduced to the market in 2017 by the Italian company Flou. Flou is a bedroom furniture manufacturer, dedicated to improvement and innovation in bed design. The bed is ornamented with metallic trims, and on the sides of its headboard, the trims serve as anchors of the cover.
These trims come in three possible finishes: polished gold, matt burnished, and polished black nickel. They have been devised to match the range of cover materials available. These covers, as it is a signature of Flou designs, are removable and available in over 100 fabrics, including leather.
The Amal Bed can be fit with a box-spring base, a Leonardo base, a storage base, or a base with electrical movement.
An important double-size bed with class. The bed is embellished with elegant metallic trims. On the sides of the headboard, the trim “anchors” the cover, exalting the softness of the ensemble. The three finishes of the trim (polished gold, matt burnished, and polished black nickel) have been devised to match the range of cover materials available. Available with box-spring Leonardo, storage base, or base with electrical movements. The covers of the base and the headboard are removable and available in fabric or leather.
All three options of metal trim of the headboard of Amal – polished ‘gold’, matt burnished or black nickel –are easy to match with all types of upholstery fabric or leather.
The metal trims ‘clip’ the sides of the headboard and emphasize the thick padding.
