Exposed Slate Bed | Tadao | Flou

The Tadao Bed is a product by Italian manufacturer Flou, a company dedicated to the design and production of new takes on bedroom furniture.

This bed, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1993, is composed of a simple and efficient array of bed slats, exposed below the mattress but supporting it over strong slats that also make its headboard. A grosgrain nylon belt joins the slats.

Part of the flexibility of this bed is its built-in wheels, at the sides of the headboard. The bed can also be disassembled and it is eco-compatible. The surface is also scratch-resistant, with an Epoque finish in white or gray.
