More about this product

Solarlux is a family-owned company with nearly 40 years of expertise in flexible window and facade solutions. Their high-quality product range includes bi-folding doors, sliding windows, and glazed extensions, ideal for new builds and modernization. The Proline T balcony glazing system by Solarlux was used in "The Garden" residential district in Berlin, Germany.

"The Garden" is a modern residential complex located in Berlin's central Mitte district. It is designed to be insulated from the noise of the city, with green courtyards that create a peaceful and village-like atmosphere. The architecture of the buildings is inspired by Berlin's nineteenth-century courtyard gardens, updated for the new millennium. The balconies, terraces, and open spaces in "The Garden" provide a serene and spacious environment that offers a contrast to the busy city life.

To ensure that residents facing the street can also enjoy peace and extra space, transparent balcony glazing has been incorporated into the design to provide sound insulation. The result is the installation of Solarlux Proline T balcony glazing throughout the complex, providing insulation from noise to the flats measuring up to 22 dB and offering additional outdoor living space. The all-glass elements in the flats have been installed on glass balustrades, matching the building's architecture and creating a seamless facade that extends to the ground level. Despite their minimalist design, the glazing offers a high level of functionality, allowing for partial or full opening to maintain the balcony feel.
