The Press pendant from Tom Dixon offers two lights made from extremely thick transparent glass, with rounded linear surface details. The ribbed glass diffuses the light source and projects linear and stripy patterns of light. The lights are created by dropping globs of molten glass at 1200 degrees centigrade into iron molds which then press the liquid glass under a large amount of pressure while cooling. The result is an extremely durable light. The pendant light is available in conical and spherical forms.
