Mosaic Walkway in Punta de Mita Hotel | Hisbalit

The punta de Mita Hotel in Mexico fuses European and indigenous culture. Developed by ASET / AOMA in collaboration with Mister Important Design and Starwood, the hotel was conceptualised from the inspiration of the local bohemian surf culture.

The hotel incorporates a variety of natural elements from the surrounding environment and unique features leaning into traditional symbolism, this includes the symbols of the Huichol, the indiginous people of Nayarit.

Hisbalit's mosaic tiles in conjunction with their Art Factory personalisation service was used to create the "Camin Huichol" a walkway that is 140m long. The walkway consists of green, white, yellow and blue mosaic tiles and is used to guide the guests through the hotel: from the lobby into the lounge area and pool and bar area.
