Project Description
The new office space for financial services company Sekura occupies two commercial floors on the top of a new shopping center in Mexico City. The building's glass facade brings in significant natural light, making it necessary to find a lighting system for the office that could balance the presence of both natural and artificial light. The project required a high-performance, efficient, and adjustable lighting control solution on a limited budget.
To achieve this, Lutron's Vive wireless lighting system was selected for the Sekura offices. This wireless system incorporates daylight sensors, occupancy sensors, and wall controls, so the artificial lighting can be scheduled to respond to changes in natural light and occupancy levels throughout the day.
With Vive, the Sekura offices can be lit automatically in the morning, while throughout the day the lights will dim or turn off when there is enough natural light in the space or when a room is empty. The Vive wireless lighting system helps keep the Sekura interior spaces comfortable and saves money on annual electrical costs as well as in the overall project cost.
Wireless Lighting System - Vive by Lutron
Vive is a wireless lighting solution comprised of daylight sensors, occupancy sensors, and wall controls. The system includes a wide variety of lighting fixtures, from standard 2x4 troughs to specialty linear and other high-end luminaires located in the Sekura offices. Vive-controlled lights can be programmed to change based on the time of day and automatically respond to environmental triggers such as daylight or occupancy. Vive lighting systems can be manually modified on local keypads or through the Vive app, which can be downloaded on smart devices.
