Starwater is a series of swimming pool mosaics designed by Hisbalit with photovoltaic properties. Each tile emits a glowing light through a sustainable process. With bright blues and greens, Starwater provides unique color and pattern options which can transform the aesthetic of a swimming pool. The tiles provide maximum design freedom while still acting as functional components to provide high-quality surface protection.
Photovoltaic Properties
Starwater mosaics are made with photovoltaic properties ideal for safe swim signs and directional indicators. Individual mosaics store luminous energy when exposed to natural or artificial light which is then gradually released as green, blue, or violet light depending on the selected coating. Through this method, the tiles provide illumination without requiring external power sources such as batteries.
The duration and strength of light emissions varies based on the type of light absorbed and exposure time. Generally, the photoluminescence effect of tiles lasts 12 hours maximum.
Adhesion Method
To apply Starwater swimming pool tiles, Hisbalit uses an innovative HT-K system which joins the mosaics with a thermopolymer additive bead. As a result, the tiles become highly resistant and adaptable to any surface. The installation process is quick and effective as tiles are easily cut and durable enough to be stored outside. Thus, with HT-K adhesion Starwater swimming pool tiles provide long term results.
