DECO Australia’s leading range of architectural timber-look aluminium battens have added a striking design feature to social media designers Zephyr and Stone’s latest Queensland project, “#Coastal2Ways.”
Zephyr and Stone is an interior design studio run by sister duo Ania Forster and Kasia Clarke. For them, a product must be both aesthetically beautiful and functional to receive their tick of approval. So when it came to specifying materials for the facade of their #Coastal2Ways project, set 500 m from the ocean, they sought a quality product that was durable enough to withstand harsh sun and salt spray.
The beautifully designed duplex showcases 116 DecoBattens, all finished in the premium DecoWood timber-look powdercoating to create a showstopping design statement.
The clean lines of DecoBatten expand across both the homes, serving as a screening device for the front windows. Finished in natural ‘Curly Birch’ from DecoWood’s Contemporary Timber Range, the marine-grade and UV-resistant qualities of the powdercoating make it a desirable choice for external applications in a coastal environment.
Additionally, being a finished product, the battens from DECO do not require the ongoing maintenance of painting or staining, making them suitable for holiday homes, rental properties, or busy households seeking more time to relax on the weekend.
