The "Three Decades of Research in Architecture, City, and Territory" seminar, honoring architects Silvia Arango and Carlos Bell Lemus, stands as the most significant event on the subject ever held in Colombia. It has successfully brought together renowned architects such as Silvia Arango, Alberto Saldarriaga, and Germán Mejía, along with 15 other distinguished professionals who contribute to both the academic and professional fields.
The event, which has been running since June 8, concludes next Saturday, June 29, with a lecture by Marcelo Barbosa (Bacco Arquitetos). The "Monomaterial Practices" talk presents the work of the Dum Dum Lab office over the last four years, featuring an architectural approach that focuses on proposals developed through material research. In his spiral structures, the smallest part is always equal to the largest through a multiplication that tends toward infinity. Chirino's spiral appears to be an interpretation of the structure that distributes the islands throughout the world; in part, it reflects how islanders view themselves. Participants include Magüi González, architect and professor of Projects at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of Las Palmas; Fernando Menis, architect and president of the Laboratory for Innovation in Architecture, Landscape and Advanced Tourism of Tenerife; and Jesús Castaño, director of the Martín Chirino Foundation for Art and Thought.

The International Biennial of Adventist Academic Architecture (BIAAA) is a non-profit event held every two years in a different country belonging to the Adventist Architecture Schools Network. The BIAAA began in 2017 as a joint effort between the schools of architecture at Montemorelos University (Mexico), Peruvian Union University (Peru), the Adventist University Center of São Paulo (Brazil), Andrews University (United States), and Sahmyook University (South Korea). The main purpose of the BIAAA is to bring together designers, professors, and students to engage with and reinterpret the design process, considering service to society as an essential principle. Consequently, the importance of the BIAAA lies in its role as a space to discuss the challenges and opportunities of social architecture and its impact on the community.
